CSI MIAMI SEASON 5 EPISODE 8 CAST SERIES
Still, the show has a lot to offer viewers looking for a change of pace in their primetime police dramas. Season 8 of CSI: Miami premiered on September 21, 2009. CSI: Miami was a TV series about a group of detectives and crime scene investigators that busted bad guys and solved mysteries by using high-tech crime scene investigation techniques in a city that star David Caruso called one of the great cultural melting pots in the world. That's right: As some of you might not know, given the show's 2012 end and its longevity as an internet joke, CSI: Miami is the meme-able series with the sunglasses and the cry of "Yeeeeeeeah!" from The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again." Sure, the showrunners might have leaned a little too hard into the cliché of Horatio Caine quipping while putting on his shades. The show was nominated for dozens of awards, even taking home a few Primetime Emmys. Horatios opening lines may be a little cheesy sometimes, but that just adds a little levity to the show, and if anyone messes with Horatio or his people, he will shoot them and talk trash.

It gets better every season and the characters get more complex and the situations more twisted and exciting.

Even with all of that going for it, however, most people probably think of some variation of this when they hear the show mentioned. CSI: Miami is the best CSI in my opinion. It has a strong ensemble cast and ultimately ran for 10 seasons (close to 250 episodes!) before coming to a close in 2012. The show was nominated for dozens of awards, even taking home a few Primetime Emmys.
